GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS
We would strongly advise any astrologer who wishes to practice as a professional
to first obtain a recognised qualification.
As its name implies, the Association is a professional body and in keeping with other professional bodies has a minimum entry requirement.
For FULL MEMBERSHIP the requirement is for Diploma from an APAI-recognised body.
If you wish to become a qualified astrologer and join the APAI we would strongly urge you to study with one of the APAI-recognised institutions.
The institutions currently recognised are:
Faculty of Astrological Studies
Mayo School of Astrology
Huber School now know as API (UK)
Qualifying Horary Diploma Course
Centre for Psychological Astrology
White Eagle School of Astrology
Astrological Guild of Educators
National Council for GeoCosmic Research, Inc
Federation of Australian Astrologers
AstroSynthesis
London School of Astrology
NOTE: There are many astrological schools and, with the rise of the Internet more and more courses are being offered, especially on-line. Unfortunately not all of these courses are 'genuine' and in any case the newer ones have not had time to establish themselves. This means that, even if you do gain a qualification we may NOT be able to automatically offer you membership.
Also note that, because of the time that it takes to evaluate the course content and the standard of teaching we are unable to comment on the suitability or otherwise of course that are 'unknown' to us.
